Add a cold one to that shopping list.
A new supersized Publix slated for Silverleaf will feature a lounge area offering beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks and other delights, according to a report.
The grocery giant announced that the 55,701-square-foot project will include its signature Pours amenity that’s proved a popular attraction in select existing locations.
A perennially crowded Pours in one Nocatee Publix attracts both shoppers looking to enhance their aisle idling with a wine or beer as well as those who only patronize the lounge itself.
The larger format Publix will also feature other delectable options, including burrito bowls and a pizza oven slinging freshly baked pies.
The location at 1975 Silverleaf Parkway will also provide customers with an ample outdoor seating area and will serve as the commercial anchor for the master planned community’s retail hub.
The main Publix will be adjoined by a liquor store, and 384 parking spaces.
Silverleaf is one of the state’s largest master planned communities, spanning more than 11,000 acres.
“SilverLeaf is zoned for 17,600 dwelling units, 2,900,000 square feet of mixed use and commercial space, and over 4,350 acres of pristine conservation land,” the development’s website states.
Known for its amiable staff, green color scheme and Pub Sub sandwiches, Publix has roughly 900 existing stores spread across the Sunshine State.
