Jacksonville International Airport ranked second in J.D. Power's new survey.

Whatever Jacksonville International Airport lacks in service it makes up for in serenity.

After being brutalized at one of our nation’s more chaotic hubs, easing into the River City’s quaintly outdated venue calms the soul.

Sure, the big boys may have directs to Kuala Lumpur and a Chanel — but we have a Shulas.

So how do the nation’s travelers feel about JAX? Let’s find out.

J.D. Power released its 19th annual North American Airport Satisfaction survey this week, and our hometown facility placed a brawny second among all medium-sized airports across the country.

We jumped several spots from last year, when JAX stood at number six.

For 2024, Indianapolis International Airport took the top spot in the mid-sized category, while Southwest Florida International Airport came in third, one spot behind Jacksonville.

We pulverized Palm Beach International in the rankings, with the famed enclave’s airport coming in at a distant seven.

In the “mega” airport tier, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport ranks highest in passenger satisfaction, followed by Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International.

John Wayne Airport in Orange County nabbed the top spot in the large airport category, followed by Tampa International Airport and Kansas City International Airport.

J.D. Power surveyed tens of thousands of travelers on a range of categories, from food and beverage options to ease of movement through the airport to the comportment of staff.

Now if we can only get some more directs to Vegas.
