Pioneering network marketer Brig Hart has sold his waterfront South Roscoe Boulevard home — which includes a 3,166-square-foot collectible car garage with a bar — for $7.1 million, The Citizen has learned.

The entrepreneur, who has made millions in a range of ventures over the decades including a lucrative stint at Amway, plans to build a brand new home on a lot he and his wife previously purchased.

“They’re moving right next door,” his son, Paul Hart, told the Citizen over the phone.

The South Roscoe Boulevard spread, known as the Seven Palms, boasts a 5,750-square-foot home with four bedrooms 5.5 baths nestled on a sprawling 2-acre lot. It hit the market for $8.5 million in March of last year.

The price was cut to $7.75 million a year later before ultimately closing for $7.1 million this week, records show.

Paul Hart said his parents sold the property to a surgeon who they believe will make a great neighbor. “It’s a Biblical commandment to love thy neighbor as thyself,” he noted. “We try to fulfill that as best as we can.”

The senior Hart initially bought the home in 2011 for $1.15 million. According to the property listing, it has since undergone several major renovations.

An avid surfer originally from Maryland, Hart opened up several board shops with his brother before an economic downturn forced their closure.

In online biographies, Hart said he was mired in drug and alcohol abuse before turning to Christianity.

Hart is considered a trailblazer in network marketing circles, a business model where individuals sell products through their personal network.

  1. Brig Hart was a Double Diamond in Amway. He had a huge group underneath him, including the late Tim Foley, the former Miami Dolphin (who himself eventually reached the Founder’s Crown Ambassador level). After leaving Amway, Brig had unprecedented success in the Mona Vie opportunity. I say unprecedented, because I cannot think of another example where a big star in one opportunity went on to even bigger success in a second opportunity. To put it together twice is a very special thing. Brig and Lita Hart are probably the most successful, North American, modern-era, network marketers. They are undisputed, unanimous, first-ballot, Hall of Famers.
Brig is also one of the world’s foremost experts on luxury motor coaches.
