Step back into time — and the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club dining room — more than 75 years ago.
A menu from the famed institution dated May 1, 1949 unfurls a mouthwatering luncheon available to members — all for just $2.25.
For the current price of one and a half Slim Jims, club goers could nosh on crabmeat appetizers and select from veal, Long Island duckling or salmon entrees.
A bevy of sides were also available, including mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and buttered beets.
Dessert options includes apple pie, fruit cake, lime frappe and a selection of sherberts.
Established in 1928 when Ponte Vedra was little more than undisturbed wilderness, the club has emerged as north Florida’s premier luxury resort.
