A baby alligator had an afternoon swim interrupted this week when two menacing turtles swam straight up to his face — and the entire confrontation was caught on video.
The clip, posted by resident Robyn Mangold, shows the tiny gator floating peacefully in a St. Augustine pond, minding his own business.
Suddenly, two determined turtles appear in the frame, paddling straight toward him like a pair of marine bouncers.
“These turtles are crazy… they give zero F’s… I’ve never seen anything like this!!” Mangold wrote in the caption.
The drama was cranked up several notches thanks to a Jaws theme overlay, which played as the turtles advanced with slow, ominous precision.
But despite being outnumbered, the resolute gator wasn’t in the mood to get punked in a pond and didn’t flinch.
The video has since gone viral, pulling in more than 900,000 views on TikTok and sparking intense internet debate over who really runs Florida’s waters.
Many viewers crowned the turtles as “Florida’s new apex predators,” while others admired the gator’s stoic refusal to acknowledge his shelled antagonists.
