The dough is coming to Durbin.

Popular brick oven eatery V Pizza is planning a new outpost in Durbin Crossing, according to the County Planning and Zoning Authority.

The proposed location will be the small chain’s 13th location and third in St. Johns County.

Known for their old-world pizzas, skillfully charred wings and expansive cocktail lists, the restaurants have become local favorites at both their Palm Valley and St. Augustine outposts.

The 8,000 sq. ft. Durbin location on Longleaf Pine Parkway will host a bar and outdoor patio, according to their application.

The PZA recommended the approval of a minor variance last week to allow for V’s to build out to its desired dimensions.

If you didn’t know, the V in V Pizza stands for veloce.

“Although it is rumored that V stands for Very, Very good Pizza the truth is V stands for Veloce, which means ‘fast’ in Italian,” the chain’s site states. “Our 900° ovens cook your pizzas in as little as 90 seconds.”

In addition to Florida, the chain has locations in North Carolina and Georgia.
