A chilling video shows what appears to be a male in a red shirt and shorts taking direct aim at an unsuspecting student during Thursday’s mass shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee.
The clip, shot from behind bushes, shows the figure walking slowly down a path as several students scramble from the scene, apparently unaware that he was lurking nearby.
He then raises a gun with both hands and takes direct aim at an oblivious student from mere feet away as gunshots and screams pierce the air.
The target then scampers off as the shooter continues to fire before lowering his gun and walking out of the frame. It was unclear if the student was struck.
A video aired by several networks showed five police officers carrying a bloodied man wearing red away from the scene.
It’s unclear if the person in custody was the same individual seen firing in the separate footage, or a victim of the rampage.
