Screens off, sneakers on.
Anticipation is accelerating for the 2026 Just Tri It! Kids Triathlon, set for Sunday, April 26, at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center in St. Augustine.
Hosted in partnership with the St. Johns County Parks Foundation and the Parks & Recreation Department, the event delivers a safe and family-friendly introduction to triathlon for young athletes from the area.

This year brings several fresh features, including a redesigned race route and a Tri4Fun Parent-and-Me division, allowing kids and adults to complete the course together.
Participants in this division swim 50 meters, bike for a mile, and run 0.5 miles.
Other divisions are organized by age: 5–8, 9–11, and 12–14, with swim distances ranging from 50 to 150 meters, bike rides of 1 mile, and runs between 0.5 and 1.5 miles.

The triathlon is USA Triathlon sanctioned, ensuring rigorous safety and course standards, organizers said.
Registration is limited to 300 participants and costs $40 per child.
Families from across Northeast Florida are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.
The St. Johns County Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, supports the event as part of its mission to expand access, strengthen programs, and enhance local parks.
