They had that sinking feeling.

First responders saved two boaters after their million dollar yacht crashed into a piling and began to sink off of St. Augustine Beach earlier this month, officials said.

Emergency crew were called to the scene after the occupants of the 80-foot Sunseeker Predator 80 Atlantis reported a collision and said they were taking on water, according to St. John’s County Fire Rescue.

The unidentified boaters were both safely removed from the vessel, with one suffering minor injuries.

A series of pictures of the sleek luxury vessel show it gradually disappearing into the surf. As of Saturday, only a small portion of the hull remained visible.

The Coast Guard cordoned off the area with buoys to protect other boaters from navigating near the doomed boat.

The agency said the yacht’s owner is in the process of making salvage arrangements.
