Two Clay County sheriff’s deputies were injured Wednesday evening after being attacked by multiple dogs on Foxtail Avenue in Middleburg, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
The agency said deputies were responding to a service call when the animals set upon them.
One deputy sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries, while a second deputy suffered minor injuries, the agency said.
Both deputies were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation remains active, and additional details are expected to be released later.
