Same time, same place, different positions.
Supporters and opponents of President Trump and his administration’s policies have planned dueling demonstrations in St. Augustine Tuesday afternoon, according to flyers circulating online.
Critics of the commander-in-chief and his immigration stances plan to gather at the Castillo de San Marcos at 2 p.m.

“One year into Trump’s second regime, we face an escalating fascist threat: raids on our communities, troops occupying our cities, attacks on immigrants, families torn apart, mass surveillance, and terror used to keep us silent,” reads an announcement. “It is time for our communities to escalate as well.”
Meanwhile, a separate call to action — entitled “Counterprotest Leftists in St. Augustine” — has been making the rounds.

“Why: Because radical leftists are ridiculous, harmful and shouldn’t feel welcome in our town,” an organizer stated on Facebook. “Also, because this is hilarious and everyone can participate.”
The posting suggests that like-minded participants drive by the anti-Trump assembly while blaring Vanilla Ice’s 90s hit “Ice Ice Baby” to signal their support for the federal agency’s recent crackdowns.
Trump critics gathered earlier this month in St. Augustine to voice their critiques of ICE enforcement actions and the shooting death of Renee Good in Minneapolis.
