A new Japanese store offering everything from Pokémon-themed toilet paper to fried squid snacks has opened in Jacksonville.

Ebisu Life Store, located at 11160 Beach Blvd., just west of Interstate 295, occupies a sprawling 8,000-square-foot space.

Founded in Osaka, Japan, in 2013, the retailer has rapidly grown in popularity and expanded to the U.S. market, with several franchises in states including Illinois, New York, and Texas.

The store features plushies, toy vending machines, beauty supplies, anime action figures, and household items such as Japanese soap and toothpaste.

The wide variety of snacks includes matcha-flavored Oreos, dried squid, instant ramen, and wasabi-flavored Lay’s potato chips.

Nancy Lu and Tsen Ming Si, of Orange Park, and Chunquing Jiang, of New York, are registered as partners of Ebisu Florida LLC.
