The house of worship relayed that he has already been moved out of ICU, calling it a “significant milestone on his recovery journey.”
While the youngster is making strides, the church said he is still impacted by head trauma he suffered in the early morning incident.
“We ask that you please keep him in your prayers for a full and complete healing,” they wrote. “Thank you for your continued support and prayers!!!”
Maslin was hit while waiting to catch a 6:08 a.m. school bus and was left on the side of the road for more than 30 minutes until a passer by saw him and called 911.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver in the case and recovered the vehicle that his Mooney. Their probe is ongoing.
