Taco Bell is eyeing a new spot on St. Johns County’s booming County Road 210 corridor.

A preliminary application filed with the county shows plans for a 2,105-square-foot Taco Bell restaurant at 1549 County Road 210, just off the I-95 interchange.

The 2.76-acre parcel sits across from the Ascension St. Vincent’s health campus and near The Fountains at St. Johns shopping center.

There are currently three Taco Bell restaurants in St. Johns County and 17 in Duval County.

Renderings submitted with the filing depict a modern black-and-purple structure with sharp lines and prominent branding, a departure from the chain’s older stucco-and-tile look.

Property records list 210 East LLC, a Jacksonville-based company, as the owner of the land.

Taco Bell of America, LLC is listed as the applicant on the paperwork.

The application is an early step in the county’s review process. The proposal would still need to advance through staff review and formal approvals before any construction could begin.
