Hip hop artist and golf enthusiast Chris “Ludacris” Bridges will deliver raps near the sand traps at THE PLAYERS Championship’s Military Appreciation event in March, officials announced.
A musical force for decades, Bridges is best known for thudding club anthems including “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” and “Rollout.”

“I’m ready to hit the stage on the iconic 17th hole—it’s going to be something special,” said Ludacris in a release. “The energy will be unreal, and I can’t wait to help kick off the best week of the year in Ponte Vedra Beach.”
Beyond his success in music and film, Bridges is recognized for his philanthropic efforts, making him a fit for an event rooted in gratitude and service, officials said.
“Military Appreciation Day is incredibly meaningful to us, and celebrating it with a performance by Ludacris on one of golf’s most iconic stages makes it even more memorable,” said Lee Smith, Executive Director of THE PLAYERS.

The festivities will begin with a ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at the Island Green 17th Hole.
The concert will follow immediately and is designed to be family-friendly. In accordance with THE PLAYERS’ youth policy, each ticketed adult may bring up to two kids ages 15 for free.
“The performance will be family-friendly and suitable for audiences of all ages,” the announcement noted.

Complimentary and discounted tickets for service members will be available beginning in early February.
