A Palm Coast slumber party turned into a coordinated overnight crime spree, with three 15-year-olds busted for a string of vehicle burglaries that netted a loaded firearm, drugs, and stolen high-end items.
Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to multiple reports of vehicle break-ins in the F Section of Palm Coast last week, the agency said in a release.
A probe tracked the suspects to a home on Fenimore Lane, where they discovered the teens and an array of plundered goods.
Detectives say the group left the home during a “sleepover” the night with the intent to break into cars.
Cops recovered a loaded handgun, ammunition, marijuana, multiple prescription pills, a Louis Vuitton handbag, Apple AirPods, two forms of identification, and several pairs of sunglasses.
All three teens were arrested at the home and now face multiple felony raps including burglary of a conveyance, grand theft of a firearm, grand theft of controlled substances, trafficking in controlled substances, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
They were transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility for processing. The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice later ordered that the teens be released to their parents.
The Citizen is not publishing their names or pictures because they are minors.
In an unrelated case, a 17-year-old from Fleming Island was also arrested June 5 in connection with a string of car burglaries that occurred in Palm Coast in April.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office General Assignment Unit linked the suspect to multiple vehicle break-ins across Flagler, Volusia, and Clay counties.
Sheriff’s officials urged residents to lock their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables, especially firearms, in plain sight.
Investigators say both cases highlight the increasing trend of juveniles engaging in organized car burglaries — sometimes crossing county lines to do so.
