The Ponte Vedra home purchased by the family of Gary Rossington, the last surviving original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, is on the market for $2.35 million.
Rossington, who passed away a little over two years ago, never lived in the home. In 2023, his widow, Dale, and their daughters, Annie and Mary, acquired the property under the Rossington Family Trust for $2.1 million.
They purchased it to be closer to the band’s longtime roots in Jacksonville and near the final resting place of both Rossington and fellow founding member Ronnie Van Zant, broker Bryce Ocepek told The Citizen.
LEGENDARY HEART SINGER SELLS PALATKA HOME

Ocepek, the owner of Coldwell Banker Anabasis Realty is handling the sale.
Listing pictures reveal a trove of valuable autographed guitars lining the walls, hotel passes from decades of tours, and an entire row of signed Mickey Mantle baseballs.
“It’s a rock and roll museum in there,” Ocepek said. “Everyone who looks at it can’t believe it.”
Rossington, the guitarist behind Lynyrd Skynyrd’s signature Southern rock sound, helped shape hits like Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama, earning accolades for his musicianship and dedication to the band.

His widow is an accomplished singer in her own right, performing lead vocals with the Rossington Collins Band and The Rossington Band, as well as providing backing vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
She and her husband also released music together under the name Rossington, continuing their shared musical legacy.

Van Zant, along with guitarist Steve Gaines, backup vocalist Cassie Gaines, assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, and both pilots, perished in a 1977 plane crash.
