Work has begun on a new mixed-use commercial development in Nocatee that includes a 100,000 square foot storage facility.

Construction crews have already cleared a parcel on Crosswater Parkway across from the Splash waterpark to make way for the project.

According to papers filed with St. Johns County, The Parc Group will lease spaces in an 11,000 square foot commercial building and the storage facility will go up directly behind it.

The properties are located between the Starling Assisted Living facility and a St. Johns County firehouse across the street from Splash.

The storage facility will be 60 feet tall, while the commercial building is slated for a 30 foot height.

The project also includes 64 parking spots.

A sign went up this week advertising retail spots available in the commercial building.

  1. I feel badly for the residents of Starling, who had a view of the trees, birds, and animals but now get to look out their windows at an ugly storage facility.
