St. Johns County Sheriff Robert Hardwick’s annual haunted jail event for kids is back — and this time, aliens have taken over the house of corrections.

The event will take place in the historic St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Jail Annex on October 18, 19, 25, and 26 from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

In addition to the hair-raising indoor presentation, an outdoor area will have a movie screen, trunk or treat, games, photo booths, face painting, nail decorating, shirts, hats and coins, food and drinks, “spooky” patrol cars and costumed characters to play with the kids.

“Sheriff Hardwick’s Haunted Jail is guaranteed to scare you out of this world!” the department said in announcing the festivities.

Tickets to the terror can be purchased online at https://HardwicksHauntedJail2024.eventbrite.com
