Only one St. Johns County high school ranked among the top 50 in all of Florida, according to a prominent data analytics outlet.
Ponte Vedra High School checked in at No. 32 on the list, which bases its rankings on factors including academics, college readiness, teacher quality, extracurricular activities and diversity.
Earning an overall A+ grade, Ponte Vedra notched top marks in academics, athletics, college readiness and teacher quality, among other areas, according to Niche.
The administration received a B grade, while the diversity and facilities categories were both given B- marks.
Ponte Vedra boasted elite proficiency rates in English and math, at 81% and 84% respectively, along with an average SAT score of 1290 based on a sample size of 665 respondents.
Bartram Trail was the next highest St. Johns County finisher at No. 102, followed by Creekside at No. 108, Nease at No. 135, St. Augustine at No. 326 and Pedro Menendez at No. 446.
Tocoi and Beachside were not included in Niche’s rankings.
Niche ranked a total of 756 Florida public high schools.
The outlet also ranked the top 50 Florida private high schools and placed Bolles at No. 41 out of a total of 404 schools.
