The St. Johns County Sheriffs Office released photos from Hurricane Milton's local impacts.

St. Johns County emergency crews worked tirelessly around the clock as Hurricane Milton tore across our area Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, flooding roadways, knocking out power and toppling trees.

The St. Johns County Sheriffs Office released frequent updates on the storm’s impact in real-time, along with photos of deluged and impassable streets, strewn debris and uprooted trees.

“Deputies responded to numerous calls for downed trees, power lines, power outages, and other debris, and as the sun comes up, SJSO will continue assessing damage,” the department said in an 8:30 am statement. “Please give us a chance to ensure the roads are safe before you leave your homes. If you need emergency assistance, please call 911.”

SJSO posted photos of trees blocking roadways in Ponte Vedra Beach and St. Augustine, along with flooded roads in Flagler Estates, Hastings and other areas of the county.

Here are some of the images from Hurricane Milton’s impact released by SJSO throughout the night.
