Nease High School’s Jacob Curry is stacking college offers the way he stacks tackles.
The four-star senior announced this week that he has received a scholarship offer from powerhouse Ohio State, which is off to a 3-0 start and sits atop the national rankings.
“I’m incredibly honored to earn an offer from THE Ohio State University,” Curry posted on social media.
The Buckeyes join a growing list of suitors that includes Oklahoma, Auburn and Baylor. Curry said he plans to make official visits to those programs in the coming months.
The 6-foot-2 linebacker was previously committed to Northwestern but reopened his recruitment last month.
Rivals recently elevated him to four-star status, ranking him the nation’s No. 15 linebacker.
Curry’s production has backed up the hype: he piled up 101 tackles, 12 for loss, eight sacks and 11 quarterback hurries as a junior.
This fall, he’s picked up right where he left off — anchoring defensive coordinator Robert Garth’s unit for a Panthers squad that has stormed out to a 4-0 start.
