St. Augustine’s marquee concert weekend is taking a year off as organizers of the Sing Out Loud Festival prepare for a major schedule shift aimed at the event’s long-term growth.
Festival officials announced that the popular Francis Field Weekend—known for drawing large crowds and top shelf artists to downtown St. Augustine—will not take place in 2026.
The multi-day concert event will resume in 2027 on a new schedule, moving to the third weekend in May.

Organizers say the shift is part of a broader strategy as the festival enters its second decade.
The move into May aims to boost tourism during a slower time of year, ease weather concerns, and afford more flexibility for event planning, according to Dianya Markovits, Director of Public Relations & Partnerships at SJC Cultural Events.
Since launching in 2016, Sing Out Loud has grown into one of Florida’s largest music festivals, with past headliners including Hozier, Mumford & Sons and Noah Kahan.
While the Francis Field concerts pause in 2026, other festival programming will continue full bore as part of the event’s 10-year anniversary celebration.
The free Local Artist Showcases will return in September, featuring more than 100 performances by local and regional musicians across venues throughout St. Johns County.
Additional events include the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival and the St. Augustine Record Fair, along with other community programming highlighting the region’s vibrant music scene.
In a message to fans, organizers said the shift to May beginning in 2027 will “create a stronger foundation for the festival in the years to come,” while continuing to support the artists and community that have shaped the event.
The festival is produced by SJC Cultural Events, Inc., which also operates the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and other local venues.
“We look forward to making this milestone together this September and launching the next chapter of Sing Out Loud in May 2027,” organizers said.
