A St. Augustine teen is in a pre-trial diversion program that could lead to dismissal of a felony charge for allegedly threatening a St. Johns County vigil last month.
The 18-year-old woman reportedly posted on Snapchat after getting off work, expressing her displeasure with a vigil for political commentator Charlie Kirk.
According to arrest records, she wrote, “Not on my bday. Whoever goes is getting shot up,” alongside a screenshot promoting the event.

The message circulated widely before several users contacted law enforcement, including the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the teen admitted she disagreed with Kirk’s views on gun violence. She voluntarily turned over her phone to investigators, who placed it in their custody.
She entered a no-contest plea, meaning she did not admit guilt but also did not contest the charge.
Through the pre-trial diversion program, she may complete counseling, community service, or other court-mandated requirements.
Successful completion typically results in dismissal of the charges, allowing her to avoid a conviction and its long-term consequences. The arrangements are normally offered to low-risk defendants or those with no prior criminal histories.
The vigil, held at Veterans Park, drew students and community members from local Turning Point USA chapters and was heavily policed to ensure safety.
