A St. Augustine teen is facing a felony charge for allegedly threatening to shoot up a packed Charlie Kirk vigil in St. Johns County over the weekend, according to police.

The 18-year-old woman took to Snapchat to voice her displeasure with the event after getting off of work Saturday evening, arrest records show.

“Not on my bday,” she allegedly wrote above a screenshot advertising the vigil. “Whoever goes is getting shot up.”

The message circulated on Snapchat before several users contacted law enforcement, including the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

St. Johns County deputies made contact with the suspect, who acknowledged an aversion to the commentator who was assassinated at a Utah college last week.

“During the interview with the defendant, she admitted to having a disagreement with the views of Charlie Kirk, specifically his topics on gun violence,” the arrest report states.

She voluntarily turned over her phone to investigators who placed it in their custody.

The teen was arrested and is now facing a felony count of written threats to kill/conduct mass shooting.

The case is ongoing.

A crowd of students and community members gathered Sunday evening at Veterans Park in to hold a vigil for Kirk.

The heavily policed event was organized by local Turning Point USA chapters — including groups from University of North Florida, Jacksonville University, Creekside High School, and St. Augustine High School.
