The standout cheer team from the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind from right here in St. Augustine won the sportsmanship award this past weekend at a national event in Rochester, New York.

Squaring off against squads from across the nation, our local representatives were recognized for superior resolve and spirit at the National Deaf Cheer Competition.

“Huge congratulations to the NDCC 2025 Sportsmanship Award winners!” event organizers wrote on a Tuesday Instagram post. “Your dedication and teamwork have truly set you apart!”

FSDB has become a perennial power at the showcase, winning the overall championship in 2023.

Footage from the event shows the Old City representatives executing flawless airborne feats in front of delighted audiences.

Take a bow, kids.
