A 22-year-old St. Augustine man died in a Putnam County motorcycle crash Saturday night, according to First Coast News.
The unidentified victim collided with another motorcyclist at 9:05 pm and was propelled directly in front of an SUV on State Road 100 near Lakeview Drive.
The outlet reported that the victim was traveling with four other motorcylces in the westbound lane at the time.
The victim veered into the eastbound lane when the SUV hit him head on, while the other motorcyclist ended up on the grass shoulder.
The St. Augustine man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the SUV — an 86-year-old woman from Virginia and a 59-year-old man — suffered serious injuries.
The second motorcyclist from Keysteon Heights suffered minor injuries.
