A 66-year-old St. Augustine man was killed Thursday night when his electronic bicycle collided head-on with an SUV on U.S. 1 in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the man was traveling south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 1, just south of Las Calinas Boulevard, around 8:20 p.m. when the crash occurred.
