The Landrum Middle School student will now head to the regionals.

She succeeded where Patrick Mahomes failed.

St. Johns County school officials honored a local spelling superstar after she captured the district championship for the third year in a row.

Landrum Middle School 8th grader Sree Vidya Siliveri was recognized at a recent school board meeting alongside Superintendent Tim Forson.

“This is a three-peat championship for Sree!” the district highlighted on social media. “Good luck in the regional spelling bee next month.”

According to an online profile, the logophile’s favorite writer is British author Jane Austen.

She counts retired tennis star Venus Williams as her most revered athlete and Tiramisu as her top dessert.

“Her interests include reading, painting, baking and playing the piano and flute,” the brief bio states.

In an interview with Parent Magazine, Siliveri said she had always harbored a fascination with words.

“My interest in the spelling bee was sparked at a young age,” she said. “By the time I was 2, I was already excited to see words in books.”

Her favorite set of syllables, she said, is “pulchritude.”

“It means beauty, and it comes from the Latin word pulcher, which means ‘beautiful. I think it’s such a unique and elegant word,” she said.

The ambitious articulator hopes to one day become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
