A 6,500‑square‑foot restaurant has been proposed for the Beachwalk development, adjacent to the planned Compass Hotel by Margaritaville, according to a permit application.
The eatery has not yet been named.
Site plans show the building situated near the Beachwalk Crystal Lagoon, providing a waterfront dining setting.

The Margaritaville is planned as a four‑story, 111‑room building with a maximum height of 60 feet.
Complementing the main hotel are up to 68 short term stay cottages, ranging from three to five bedrooms, with height limits of 35 feet.
Typical two‑story footprints measure 26 by 42 feet or 20 by 42 feet.

The units would be managed by the Margaritaville Hotel and would not be advertised on AirBnB or VRBO, representatives said.
The cottage concept was introduced after plans for a restaurant cluster around the lagoon failed to materialize.
The plan roiled some residents at the time who preferred the dining destination and worried that short term stay guests would strain Beachwalk’s amenities.
Developers argued that the plan was preferable to the obvious alternative — a big box store.
