With St. Johns County School Superintendent Tim Forson’s reign set to conclude on June 30, the search for a successor is intensifying.
As part of that high stakes process, county officials are seeking community input as they vet resumes and assess candidates for the top spot in one of Florida’s premier districts.
“The St. Johns County School Board is asking for input from the community on the leadership qualities desired in our next Superintendent,” the panel said in a statement. “Your feedback is crucial in helping us identify the best leader to guide our district toward continued success.”
The district issued a link to a survey where interested parties can be heard.
The feedback is available to all community members, not just parents and families.
“The Superintendent Search Public Survey, conducted by the Florida School Boards Association in collaboration with the St. Johns County School Board, is an essential part of this process,” the district stated. “Your responses will help shape the application process and develop interview questions for candidates.”

It is critical that as many of us as possible give input on this. It only takes a few minutes to complete the survey, and there will be community forums as well.
