Senior Nease linebacker Jacob Curry continues to pile up accolades.

The Northwestern University commit has been named to the Florida Times-Union’s prestigious Super 11 roster — the outlet’s coveted list of Northeast Florida’s top high school senior prospects.

A key piston in coordinator Robert Garth’s defensive machine last season, Curry recorded 101 tackles, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, and seven pass breakups.

Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 200 pounds, Curry has earned a reputation as one of the area’s most versatile and punishing defenders.

Curry told the Times-Union he’s focused on building off last year’s memorable campaign with the Panthers before heading to the Big Ten and launching his collegiate career.

Led by Coach Collin Drafts, the Ponte Vedra program is aiming to repeat as district champions for the first time since its 2005–2007 run.

“Every day, all summer — Monday through Saturday and Sunday — we’re with each other constantly, working out, trying to get better, watching film,” Curry said. “We’re trying to be the best defense we can be.”
