The Fruit Cove community is rallying to support 12-year-old Parker Anderson, who remains in critical condition following a devastating e-bike accident Monday evening.
The Fruit Cove Middle School student sustained a traumatic brain injury, including a fractured skull and brain bleed, after a serious crash while riding his electric bike, according to a GoFundMe post that had already raised $24,000 as of Tuesday night.
Parker was not wearing a helmet at the time of the single-bike crash.
Bystanders tended to the unconscious boy before emergency crews raced to the scene and quickly stabilized him on a gurney.

Parker was airlifted to Wolfson Children’s Hospital, where he remains in the intensive care unit.
While now breathing on his own, Parker is still unconscious, and the extent of his injuries remains unclear.
According to his family, Parker — who plays football for the Creeks Outlaws — lost his mother six years ago and is being raised by his father, Jeremy Anderson, and sister Payton.

The devastated dad has not left his son’s bedside since the accident, holding his hand and “waiting for him to wake up.”
Describing him as mature beyond his years, Parker’s relatives said he enjoys spending time with friends at neighborhood favorites like Cool Eddy’s ice cream shop, Plantation Park and Publix.
“He’s known for his boundless energy, his kindness, and his love of dad jokes,” the post reads. “Parker’s heart is as big as his spirit. He has a gift for noticing when other people need help and is always the first to step up, whether it’s holding a door open or even volunteering to make the perfect s’more around the fire pit.”

Now facing a long road to recovery, the family is leaning on the St. Johns community for support.
Parker’s father will soon grapple with medical expenses — along with the prospect of missing work to care for his son during what is expected to be a grueling and uncertain rehabilitation process.
The fundraising campaign will help cover hospital bills, therapy, and basic living expenses.

Community members are encouraged to donate if they are able.
For those who cannot give financially, the family asks for prayers, positive thoughts, and help spreading Parker’s story.
“Parker is strong,” the post reads. “He’s a fighter. And with the love and support of this community, we believe he will pull through.”
