It’s time to give back.
Locals are raising a retirement fund for a revered Ponte Vedra Beach Inn & Club staffer who has worked at the famed venue for a remarkable 49 years.
In a show of gratitude for her nearly half-century of tireless service, thankful members have set up a Gofundme page to help Wilson ease into her golden years.
“She is pushing 80 years old and I think we could all help her retire into her Golden Years with a nice big retirement fund,” organizer Carol Strickland wrote before kicking off the drive with a generous $5,000 donation.

The Inn & Club recognized Wilson’s dedication in a Facebook post last year.
“Henrietta Wilson is one of our cherished team members who has been with us for an astounding 48 years,” they venue wrote.
Wilson said that she began as a dining room attendant before becoming a server known for her warm manner and unflappable grace.
“Ponte Vedra Inn and Club is my home and the best place to work in the area,” she said. “I am so fortunate to have met many amazing people along my journey who have become my extended family. I am the person I am today partly because of the industry and Ponte Vedra Inn and Club family.”
The campaign has raised nearly $7,000 thus far, with donations continuing to roll in.
“A truly special lady who is appreciated by all for her grace, elegance and always positive attitude, her dedication is unwavering,” one poster replied.
