Popular mini chain ZEN Pho and Noodles is officially expanding into St. Johns County, bringing its pan-Asian flare to a famished new market.
The growing Florida-based restaurant announced the news on Instagram with the playful message, “St. John’s… you’re up 👀,” confirming a new location coming shortly to the former Oola Mala Hot Pot & Sushi space at 1385 St. Johns Parkway.
Founded in Gainesville in 2022, the brand quickly gained momentum thanks to its focus on authentic dishes inspired by Asian-American heritage.

The brand has expanded to multiple locations across the state, including Temple Terrace, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
The concept blends traditional flavors with contemporary comfort-food appeal.
According to Zen’s site, guests in St. Johns can expect “the same flavors and the same heart,” in a new community.
ZEN is known for its extensive, customizable menu that caters to a wide range of dietary preferences, including vegan and gluten-free options.

Popular dishes include its signature pho, featuring a rich house-made broth and tender ribeye, as well as favorites like bang bang shrimp, crispy spring rolls, and takoyaki topped with savory sauces and bonito flakes.
The menu also highlights noodle classics such as pad thai, drunken noodles, and Filipino pancit, alongside hearty rice bowls like the Korean bulgogi bowl and bang bang bowl.
The brand has not announced an opening date, but said it’s putting the finishing touches on the new space and is “coming soon.”
