One of two people seriously injured in a rollover crash early Sunday morning has died, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at the intersection of County Road 214 and Allen Nease Road, where first responders found a vehicle overturned with occupants trapped inside.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue and the sheriff’s office responded to reports of the rollover involving multiple patients.

Emergency crews located the vehicle on its side and worked to extricate those inside while providing emergency medical care at the scene.
Several people were transported to local hospitals, including two who suffered life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.

A St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed Monday that one person died as a result of the incident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
