One person is dead and several others injured after an early morning boat accident in Putnam County, officials said.
Emergency crews were called to an area near a Crescent City boat ramp at 100 Grove Avenue around 6:40 a.m. Friday after receiving reports of multiple injuries.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that one person had died and several others required medical treatment.
The boat ramp has been closed as the investigation continues.
The identity of the deceased victim has not been released.
“This is an evolving incident,” Putnam County Fire Rescue said.
Emergency units and investigators remain at the scene.
