An office design company has hired St. Johns County Commissioner Sarah Arnold as its director of strategic growth for Jacksonville.
Arnold, who is expected to seek re-election this year, now appears on the company website with that title.
“Sarah’s deep relationships and track record of delivering results are the perfect fit for our current and future growth in the Jacksonville market,” Jim Staiti, president of Office Images, told the Jacksonville Daily Record. “Like Sarah, we are committed to Northeast Florida, and we look forward to having her on our team.”
Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed Arnold to the BCC in 2021 and she earned re-election the following year.
Arnold serves on several local boards, most notably with the United Way of Florida.
“Im’ so excited for the opportunity,” Arnold told The Citizen. “Northeast Florida has always been my home and this feels like a natural fit.”
The Florida native earns about $100,000 as a county commissioner, and it is not uncommon for board members to have other jobs while carrying out the part-time position.
With offices in Jacksonville, Nashville and Atlanta, the firm has designed spaces for prominent local clients including Auld & White Constructors and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
