Jacksonville's first Shake Shack will open next week.

Shake Shack will open its second First Coast location in Jacksonville Beach this year, according to a report.

The Manhattan-born burger barons will fire up the grills at a 3,200 square foot space at South Beach Regional, a commercial center at 3956 S. Third St. sometime this year, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.

The chain opened its first local location at St. Johns Town Center last year.

The popular eatery grew from modest origins, hatching from a single hot dog stand in Manhattan’s Madison Square Park.

New Yorkers soon began lining up for the franks, and the brand eventually established a permanent kiosk in 2004.

Shake Shack has 24 existing locations in Florida and more than 500 around the world.

“With its fresh, simple, high-quality food at a great value, Shake Shack is a fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal,” the brand states on its website.

A rep told the JDR that no additional Jacksonville locations are currently in the works.
