Another tackling terror from Nease High School’s formidable defensive corps has caught the attention of a blue chip college football program.
Junior safety Kash Kolbow recntly announced that he has received a scholarship offer from the University of Oklahoma, becoming the latest Panther to draw interest from a national powerhouse.
The Sooners, now part of the SEC and led by head coach Brent Venables, extended the offer after a recruiting campaign led by Oklahoma assistant coach Nate Dreiling, according to Kolbow.
“After a great conversation with @CoachNDreiling, I am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Oklahoma!!” Kolbow wrote in a post on Twitter.

Kolbow has been a major contributor for Nease through the 2025 season so far. According to MaxPreps, the speedy junior safety has totaled 52 tackles through eight games, including 31 solo takedowns.
He becomes the second Nease player to attract attention from Oklahoma this season.
Linebacker Jacob Curry made headlines earlier this fall when he committed to the Sooners, marking a recruiting win for the Norman-based program and putting a spotlight on Nease’s talent-rich roster.
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, Kolbow has yet to make an official college decision, but the Oklahoma offer puts him on the radar of top-tier programs.
In addition to the Sooners, he holds early offers from Arkansas State, Southern Miss, and Vanderbilt, with more expected to follow as his junior season progresse.
