The puzzle pieces of Paige Bozosi’s life were all locking into place for the 23-year-old St. Augustine elementary school teacher.
Adored by parents and students alike, Bozosi’s natural classroom talents were blooming and a promising career path stretched out before her.
Just months ago, she married the “love of her life,” Davey, and the euphoric young couple moved into a new home together, ready to march forth in loving lockstep.
But this past spring, while she and her students were enjoying their break, Bozosi discovered an ominous lump in her breast.

Trusting her instincts, she quickly sought medical attention. After a series of tests and consultations, a doctor delivered three syllables that instantly darkened her once shimmering world.
Paige was suffering from an invasive, aggressive form of breast cancer.
Given its progress, there was little time to process the moment and she had to begin her fight immediately — starting with a double mastectomy.
Grueling chemotherapy sessions have followed.
“Now, instead of looking ahead to summer plans or preparing for a new school year, Paige is fighting for her life, a new GoFundMe campaign set up by friends and family states.
The initiative — bolstered by a wide cross section of her personal and professional supporters — had raised nearly $18,000 as of Friday.
With her priorities reordered, Bozosi had to make the painful decision to step away from teaching — a career she loves deeply.
“Her classroom is a place of love, encouragement, and hope,” the GoFundMe post states. “Paige has a special gift for making every child feel important, seen, and deeply loved — the kind of teacher whose kindness and dedication stay with you forever.”
This forced pause comes not only with emotional challenges, but financial ones as well.
Her husband is currently in school studying to become an occupational therapist. With his spouse unable to work, their household income has abruptly plunged.
Meanwhile, the cost of medical treatment, daily living expenses, and other essentials continues to mount.
Organizers are asking for two things: financial assistance, and prayers.
“Throughout it all, Paige’s faith has remained her anchor,” wrote Rachel de Castro, who is leading the way. “She is strong in her belief that God is walking beside her every step of the way, guiding her through this battle and leading her on a journey of healing and restoration.”
“Let’s rally around Paige and Davey with the same love and support they so freely give to others,” de Castro wrote. “Your generosity, your prayers, and your love mean more than words can say.”
