A new Panda Express is coming to St. Johns County.
The fast-casual chain, known for orange chicken and chow mein, has filed an application to build a 2,700-square-foot restaurant at 3405 International Golf Parkway in St. Augustine.
The site is one of several outparcels tied to the Walmart Supercenter development at the busy Interstate 95 interchange.
Eight pad sites are included in the project, with Panda Express securing one of them.

The intersection has become a major growth hub in recent years, drawing new subdivisions, schools, and commercial projects to what was once open space on the northwest side of the county.
For Panda Express, the new location reflects the company’s expansion strategy in suburban corridors.
The chain, founded in 1983 in California, now operates more than 2,300 restaurants nationwide, including several in Northeast Florida.
