A senior living facility has been proposed for a parcel behind the newly opened BJ’s Wholesale Club in Beachwalk, county records show.

The 181,412-square-foot development would host 82 independent living units, 81 assisted living beds and 24 memory care beds on Beachwalk Boulevard on 5.5 acres.

The overall property is 8.5 acres, papers show.

The four-story facility would include 179 parking spots, along with a pool and a pickleball court.

If approved, it would be the 16th senior living operation in St. Johns County.

The project will come before the St. Johns County Development Review Committee later this month.
