St. Johns County’s coffee bean bonanza continues.

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, a growing brew franchise known for its island roots, is set to open a new location in St. Augustine Beach, according to a report.

As part of a Florida expansion, the cheekily named brand is set to brew at 4085 Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway, according to What Now Jacksonville.

Founded in 1989 in Hawaii, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii offers premium Hawaiian coffees, as well as other international blends.

The company made its mainland debut in 1995 when B.J. Bilanzich, inspired by the company’s playful spirit, launched a location in to Salt Lake City, Utah, according to its website.

She and her husband began opening stores and eventually acquired the company, leading to its franchising across the country.

The brand has experienced steady growth, with 24 stores currently open across the U.S., U.S. Virgin Islands, and Japan.

Bad Ass has six stores already operating across the state and more locations in development, including one in the Lakewood Ranch area of Sarasota County.

The menu features specialty drinks like the Bad Ass Mocha, Caramel Wave, and Beach Bliss Latte, all available hot or iced.

They also offer a selection of blended beverages, teas, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, baked goods, and branded merchandise.

Coffee chains have stampeded into St. Johns County in recent years, including Dutch Bros. and 7 Brew.
