Once the niche preference of ornery big city chefs, Crocs have become a ubiquitous suburban staple.
To help meet the seemingly insatiable local appetite for the clog adjacent sandals, the brand plans to open a new location at the St. Johns Town Center, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.
The standalone store will span 2,672 square feet and will sit near the commercial area’s Target.
The company — which had nearly $4 billion in revenue last year — offers footwear for men, women and kids.
In addition to the classic clog, Crocs sells sneakers, flip-flops, slippers and other styles.
The company also generates revenue with Jibbitz, accessories that snap into the holes in classic Crocs.
While the sandals were an object of stylistic derision for much of the aughts, the pendulum began to swing in the opposite direction in the 2020s, with celebrities like Justin Bieber and Kanye West photographed in the footwear.
