Inn the money: Owners of historic St. Augustine hotel look to unload property for $14 million

Villa 1565 on San Marco Ave. in St. Augustine hit the market this month for $14 million, The Citizen has learned.

The current owners of the 77-room lodge purchased it for $12 million in 2022, records show.

A listing for the hotel notes that the sale price equotes to roughly $181,000 per room.

The structure was built in 1959 and previously known as the Palms Congress Inn & Restaurant.

The 29,531 square foot building sits on 2.63 acres directly on one of St. Augustine’s most heavily trafficked roads.

“This 77-key boutique hotel offers a blend of historical charm and modern amenities, attracting steady year-round occupancy from visitors exploring the nation’s oldest city,” a listing states.

The hotel offers six suites with rates of $269 a night and 71 rooms at $247 a night.

The listing touts Villa 1565’s “expansion potential,” including “opportunities for renovation, rebranding, or repositioning to maximize returns.”

The principal agent of the LLC that owns the building is listed as Satyender Kalra of St. Johns.

  1. So I guess that Patel will try to make some kind of a low ball offer on this one and bulldoze it to the ground in Hill something else that I can usually does !
