World Golf Village just got a taste of the five boroughs—and the reviews are bubbling like fresh mozz on a hot hero.
Hal and Jen Della Torre, a husband-and-wife team originally from Brooklyn, officially opened the doors to their New York-style Italian deli over the weekend—and the lines snaked in a New York minute.
“We opened on the 4th, did our grand opening that Saturday, and we’ve been slammed all week,” Hal told The Citizen. “All the New Yorkers are coming.”
From salivating Gotham transplants to locals looking for a taste of the big city, demand at Della Torre’s Italian Deli has been overwhelming.

Top hits so far?
“Our Philly cheesesteak, the chicken parm, and for some reason everyone’s loving the New Yorker. The Little Italy. The Brooklyn Guido,” Hal said, still a little stunned at the response. “They’re flying outta here.”
The deli, located at 180 Registry Blvd., Suite 102, features homemade mozzarella, bacon egg and cheese sandwiches, and a murderer’s row of classic NYC staples.
“We have so much love and appreciation for everybody showing support,” Hal said. “It’s been nonstop. Our biggest challenge right now is just finding the right employees and keeping up with demand.”
Hal, a retired NYC sanitation worker, and Jen, a nurse at Baptist Hospital, relocated from Brooklyn to Trailmark in search of a slower pace for their young family—and say they immediately fell in love with the county and its people.
“We are excited to be bringing a little bit of New York flavor to the area,” they wrote on Facebook. “We’re looking forward to not only building our business but building lasting relationships with everybody who walks through our door.”
