A precedent-shattering oceanfront Atlantic Beach home has been listed for $19 million — easily the highest asking price in the city’s history — and one of the steepest recent tags in Northeast Florida overall.
Branded The Fish House by Compass brokers Jennifer Sexton and Wesley Mock, the custom-built shoreline estate at 1725 Beach Avenue spans 7,230-square-feet with 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths.
“A masterful response to its surroundings, this custom-built estate stands as a rare intersection of architectural significance, material integrity, and coastal modernity,” the agents wrote.
Set on roughly half of a waterfront acre, the residence boasts a separate carriage house, The Fishtail, offering living space for guests or as a private studio.
“Experience hotel-level amenities from the comfort of your own home, including a wine cellar, private roof deck, home gym, media room, and multiple outdoor entertainment areas,” the listing states. “Additionally, there is a resort-style pool complete with a hot tub and sun shelf.”
If it transacts anywhere near its asking number, The Fish House will set a new record for the increasingly coveted shoreline stretch in Atlantic Beach.
According to records, a home just down the street at 631 Beach Avenue sold for $9.3 million in October of 2023.
Then a vacant lot, 1725 Beach Avenue sold for just $130,000 in 1981 before a 2018 purchase for $3.3 million.
The Fish House was built in 2022, records show.
