The Publix proliferation continues in St. Johns County.
The supermarket juggernaut plans a new location at Veterans and Longleaf Pines parkways, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record.
The new location, JDR reported, will sit north of The Church of Eleven22’s St. Johns County campus.
“I can confirm that we have signed a lease for a store at Veterans Parkway and Longleaf Pines Parkway,” a Publix spokesperson told the outlet in a statement.

The home of Pub Subs, popcorn chicken and reliably genial staff has been rapidly expanding across the county to keep pace with exploding residential and commercial development.
Nocatee and the surrounding area will soon host a total of 5 Publix locations — two across the street from each other in the master planned community’s town center, one in Palm Valley, one in Beachwalk, and a soon to open location in Valley Ridge.
The grand total of St. Johns County Publix locations will exceed 20 once the Longleaf Pines outpost is completed.
The chain was founded as a single store in 1930 by George W. Jenkins in Winter Haven, Florida, during the height of the Great Depression.
Today, Publix operates over 1,370 stores across eight states: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky.
