Gotham-born beef behemoth Shake Shack will start sizzling the patties Wednesday at its second First Coast location in Jacksonville Beach.
The famed chain opens its doors at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at 3956 3rd St. S., and will operate daily until 11 p.m.
This new outpost joins Shake Shack’s first local foray at St. Johns Town Center, which opened in 2024.
Shake Shack began in 2000 as a humble hot dog stand in New York City’s Madison Square Park. With New Yorkers flocking for their fix, it became a permanent kiosk in 2004—and the rest is burger history.

Its first location outside Gotham opened in Miami Beach in 2010, and Shake Shack has since expanded to more than 20 locations across Florida and over 500 worldwide.
Famed for its burgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, and frozen custards, the brand also offers chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, and veggie-friendly options.
